Player Bio

Delton Kruk

Roster Image Head Coach/3rd base coach




Coach Kruk teaches Social Studies at  Leduc Composite High School and coaches the Senior Boys Basketball team.  He grew up in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta where played his minor baseball from Mosquito to Midget AAA. In 1994, Fort Saskatchewan hosted the Midget AAA National Championship, which he had the good fortune to start at shortstop. He played for Team Alberta the following year, coached by Trevor Schumm, and then spent two years at Prairie Baseball Academy in Lethbridge, Alberta under the tutelage of Blair Kubicek. He then accepted a scholarship to Northwest Missouri State University, just north of Kansas City, and played for Jim Johnson. Upon graduation he signed with the Kalamazoo Kings of the Frontier League and enjoyed a very very brief stint playing professional baseball. He most recently played in the Sunburst League for the Red Deer Riggers and attended three separate National Championships (two with the Riggers and one with the St. Albert Tigers). He also coached the 2004 Midget AA Devon Diamondbacks, winning the Provincial and Western Canadian championships.  Kruk retired from playing baseball in 2012 to coach and watch his three sons participate in their chosen  sports and activities.
