2018 Huntingdon Area High School Bearcat Soccer Organizational Meeting(s)
Junior and Senior High
Sunday, June 10th and Monday, June 11th, Huntingdon Area High School Cafeteria, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
The player and a parent must attend ONE ***REQUIRED*** organizational meeting for those who plan to play on the HAHS Boys' Soccer Team during the upcoming 2018 season. All players, accompanied by at least one parent/guardian, must attend this meeting. Head Coach Phil Hawkins, Athletic Director Dean Grenfell, and the Booster Club leadership team will be sharing important information, forms, schedules, etc.
Please park in the side parking lot (entrance on 24th Street) and use the doors nearest the cafeteria to enter the building.
Pre-Season Practices – Mandatory pre-season practices will take place at the Middle School Practice Field at the following times:
August 13-17 and August 20-21 which is the day before the first day of school (8/22/2017) from 8-10 a.m.
August 13-17 and August 20-21 which is the day before the first day of school from 5-7:30 p.m.
Team Picnic will be Sunday, August 18 at 6:00 PM at the main pavilion at Detwiler Field.
School starts on August 22nd, so we will switch at that time to our normal practice schedule on all non-game days from 3:30-5:30!
Players must have with them sneakers, cleats, shinguards, filled water/beverage container, and proper soccer shorts and socks. Players needing an inhaler must bring that with them too.
Players must attend ALL training sessions if they wish to play during the 2018 season. All PIAA physicals and paperwork must be turned in to the HAHS office prior to the first practice session on Monday 8/13/2018 in order for players to participate!
PAY TO PLAY STATEMENT:
From the Huntingdon Area High School Athletic Office (note that this does NOT apply to families from Mt. Union):
"Every athlete must pay a $30.00 fee (per sport) to participate. This is HASD policy. The money should be returned in an envelope marked with the player's name with the physical paperwork before the first practice. If you receive free or reduced lunch, the fee is waived. Please write that you receive these services and return in the envelope. You are not able to participate without this fee."
