HARRISBURG - Jessa Wright scored 12 points but Mifflin County couldn't make enough shots to beat Central Dauphin East Friday. The Huskies trailed 17-4 early in the second quarter, but roared back and took the lead before the Panthers took it back.

"They came out with a lot of fire," Mifflin County coach Roger Herto said of the Huskies' opponent. "We came back and took the lead a few times. We just really struggled to make shots."

Mifflin County guard Ashleigh Williams and guard/forward Rebeka Knable were held to nine points after scoring 35 against the Panthers at home. Wright also was held to half her 24 point total from the last meeting, a Huskies win. Mifflin County was able to hold Central Dauphin East guard Michaela Gelbaugh to 13 points, but this time she got some help. Panthers forward Brittnay Robinson scored a game-high 20 points to pace the East offense.

"They are a very good team," Herto said. "We just have to put this one behind us." The Huskies (10-9, 7-7 Commonwealth Division) travel to Central Mountain Monday night.
