From staff reports

WILDWOOD, N.J. - Jessa Wright scored 20 points and Maggie Wilson added 15 points as Mifflin County shot 42 percent from the field and handed Cape May County a 62-26 non-league girls basketball defeat in the opening round of the Boardwalk Classic in Wildwood, N.J.

Cape May stepped in as a substitution so the two teams didn't know much about each other.

The Huskies used physicality to overwhelm the team from South Jersey.

"They were very similar to us," Mifflin County coach Roger Herto said. "We were more physical than them and that caused a lot (of 26) the turnovers."

Wilson went 7-for-12 from the field.

Mifflin County (3-5) will have its hands full with defending District 1 Champion North Penn today at 4:15.
