We are looking for a few more players for our 18U team

Please fill out the tryout request

What is Tri-City Thunder about?

This will be TCT’s 8th season, and each year we strive to become a better and stronger team and organization. We have had a lot of success over the years and at this point have helped multiple girls play for their College softball team.  So if you are interested in any level, please fill out a tryout request.  You are not committing to the team by trying out, so I ask that you give us a chance.

TCT's coaches strive to maintain a positive atmosphere as the girls are molded into strong all-around softball players. It is very important to us that each player is able to have a good time and form lifelong friendships. As our players become young women, we stress the importance of good sportsmanship and want the girls to become responsible individuals.

To describe a TCT player, I would say she is dedicated, accountable for her actions, maintains a positive attitude, learns from her mistakes, and grows as a person and friend to her teammates.

What is expected for training?

With the level of competition in travel ball, it is very important that each player be dedicated to the team and is able to put forth time to practice and become the strongest player she can be.  Being able to make the practices and tournament days is very important, as each team only takes on 11-13 players usually.

Our teams practice throughout the year, with the exception of school ball season, which is fall for younger girls and spring for high school.  Each team will have some differences in their year round training.  * It is an expectation that you be at practices as often as you can in order for you to be a strong player.

How many tournaments will the teams play in?

The season is August 2015 - July 2016, and you are committing to this time, unless an agreement is made with your coach to play only partial season.

What is the cost?

Travel softball is expensive, with the average cost of each tournament ranging from $425-$500.  That, along with other team registration fees and training fees, add up quickly.  Each team will vary, but there may be a fundraiser involved to help pay the costs.  Fees will be broken up into 2-3 payments over the year.

You can save on your fee if you get a business or person to sponsor the team, a percentage of money will be taken off the fee you owe.

Additional costs will be a team helmet if needed and if you want to purchase a second uniform.  This will be due at the beginning of the season or when needed.

Expect that if you are accepted onto one of the teams, that there will be one or two payments due right away.  One will be due when you are accepted on the team in August.  This is so each team can purchase a set of uniforms and pay for September and October tournaments.
