Brian Sobiech

Coach Sobiech has led the Falcon baseball program since 2008.  Prior to that he was a Co-Head Coach, Catching Coach, and Varsity Pitching Coach under his mentor former head coach Tony Nelson. 

Additional Coaching experience at Armstrong includes coaching the Armstrong 9th and 10th grade teams.  Coach Sobiech has also coached the Westphal American Legion summer baseball team, along with the 13 and 14 year old Plymouth/New Hope Traveling baseball teams.  Additionally, Coach Sobiech has also worked with Edina Baseball coaching 9 year olds in their summer baseball program. 

As a player Coach Sobiech was a 3 year letter-winner for the Falcons from 1995-1997.  He was a member of the Section 6AAA Region Runners-up in 1996 and part of 2 Classic Lake Conference Championship teams.  Coach Sobiech was a catcher turned utility player and played all but 2 positions at the Varsity level in his time with the Falcons. 

His coaching experience at Armstrong has spanned 4 Section Championships and 5 Classic Lake Conference Championships.  Since taking over the program in 2008 the Falcons have won 3 section championships (2010, 2014 and 2015) and 1 conference championship (CLC 2010).

Coach Sobiech has also spent time coaching wrestling at Armstrong High School, he and his wife Jenny live in Plymouth and have one daughters (Olivia and Annebelle).
