Oct 22, 2018 - Club Notes

YOUTH

Saturday morning football continues from 11am.

Our Under 13 Girls League Semi Final is pencilled in for this coming Saturday. See weebly for more details. Training continues Monday & Wednesday, from 7pm to 8.15pm.

The Under 13 boys will have their last two sessions of the season this week, Monday & Wednesday from 6.30pm to 7.45pm.

UNDER 21s

The Under 21 Boys League commences this coming Sunday 28th October with an away game in Kinawley, throw in 12pm. Players born 1997, 1998 1999, 2000 and 2001 are all eligible to play. There is games the next 5 Sunday's at 12pm. We wish the players and management well for the season ahead.

  • 28/10/18 - Away to Kinawley at 12pm.
  • 04/11/18 - Home to Derrygonnelly at 12pm.
  • 11/11/18 - Away to Erne Gaels at 12pm.
  • 18/11/18 - Home to Enniskillen Gaels at 12pm.
  • 25/11/18 - Away to Devenish at 12pm

ADULT

The Senior Ladies are still out training for their upcoming League playoff, no date has been given, training continues as normal, Tuesday & Thursday from 7pm.

OTHER

Club O’Raghallaigh Membership has now over 125 members and we thank everyone who has joined up. Your continued support is greatly appreciated by all within the club.

There was no winner of the Club Lotto Jackpot on Monday 16th October. Letters drawn were F, K, N, R, X. Lucky dips went to Joan McHugh, Lucia Maguire, Tony Leonard and Kathleen Maguire. Next weeks draw is on Monday 22nd October for a Jackpot of £4,800.

YOUTH

Saturday morning football continues from 11am.

Our Under 13 Girls await details of their Division 1 League Semi Final. Training continues on Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 7pm to 8.15pm.

The Under 12 Boys played in the PJ Treacy Memorial Tournament in Garrison last weekend, winning one of their three games, we thank the Devenish club for their hospitality.

ADULT

The Senior Ladies will be in League playoff, no idea when this will be played, training continues as normal on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 7pm.

OTHER

Well done to all our members who took part in and helped out at the Run for Oisin last weekend. It was another very successful event which was well supported by the entire community.

World Mental Health Day was last week but it’s not just something to think about for one day a year. It is important not only to think about your own mental health daily, but also to look out for behaviour that could indicates someone else needs help. YOUTH

Our P5, P6 & P7’s who played on Croke Park last Saturday at the Littlewoods Ireland Ulster Provincial Days Go Games. We thank the coaches and mentors who looked after them. All the kids had a wonderful day.

The Under 13 Boys will continue to train on Wednesday's for the Month of October from 6.30pm to 7.45pm.

The Senior Men will remain in Division 2 for a second season at least having suffered a 1-9 to 1-5 defeat last Saturday to Enniskillen Gaels in the Promotion Playoff. That ends the Senior Mens season, we thank the players and management for their time and efforts during 2018.

Sep 28, 2018 - Place In Division 1 Up For Grabs This Weekend

There is just the one Fixture this weekend and it's a big one. The Senior Men face Enniskillen Gaels in Kinawley at 4.30pm on Saturday knowing the winner of this fixture will be promoted to Division 1 for the 2019 season. 

Sep 24, 2018 - Club Notes

YOUTH

No Saturday morning training this week due to Croke Park trip. It will return on 6th October for P1-P6’s from 11am.

The Clubs P5, P6 & P7’s are for Croke Park this Saturday. 26 Children are confirmed. The bus will leave from the Cottage Meadow at 8:45am. There will be a toilet stop in Virginia. Arrival at Croke Park at 12:00 noon. Playing on Croke Park pitch from 1pm to 2.30pm. Museum tour from 3pm to 4pm. Meal in McDonalds @ Blanchardstown Shopping Centre at 5pm. Leave Blanchardstown by 6pm and arrive back in Belcoo between 8.30-9pm.

Cost: £15, this includes the meal in McDonalds. Consent forms will be dropped into St Columbans for the children to get signed. Please get consent forms back to Tom White with £15 pounds by Thursday 27th.

Children will need to wear trainers and change into their football boots when playing. Also they will need to have a good breakfast before leaving and bring a lunch snack and a drink. Please keep an eye on the weather closer to Saturday as a change of clothes/rain gear may be necessary. The club will provide jerseys for wearing on the pitch. If possible could the children wear Belcoo shorts and socks. Also if available wear Belcoo tracksuits/hoodies. Lastly don't forget gum shields. The Under 13 Boys lost to Newtown last week in their last league fixture. We thank the players and management for their time and efforts this season.

The Under 13 Girls made it three wins on the spin when they beat Devenish 5-16 to 2-2 last week. They will compete in the Division 1 Semi Finals having topped their sections. Training continues Wednesday from 7pm to 8.15pm.

Huge Congratulations to the Under 16 Girls, players and management as they won the B Championship Final by a single point on Sunday, beating Devenish 3-8 to 4-4. It was a fantastic contest and it completed an unbeaten season for our girls who won the league a few months ago. Well done to all concerned.

ADULT

The Senior Men dropped back down Intermediate Football for 2019 following a 1-13 to 2-8 defeat to Teemore last weekend. They play Enniskillen Gaels this Saturday at 4.30pm in Kinawley. The winner will be promoted to Division 1 and contest the Division 2 League Final. Best of Luck to the players and management.
