Club Notes

Oct. 4, 2009

The Seniors fought back to draw 1-11 to 2-8 with league leaders Teemore on Sunday in Belcoo. First half points from John Carrigan, Brian Cox, Paul McGrath, Stephen Maguire and two from Ciarán Flaherty wasn't enough as Teemore lead 1-5 to 0-6 at the break. Two quickfire points from Stephen Magurie and a John Carrigan free got Belcoo onto level terms before Teemore found the net for the second time. A freak goal by Belcoo levelled the game again. In the closing stages a long range point from play by Paul McGrath and a well taken point by subsititute Ronan Ferguson were both cancelled out as the game finished in a draw.

This Sunday the Seniors travel to Brewster Park knowing they must win their last two fixtures to at least force a 4th place playoff. They currently are two points outside the top four with the top four qualifying for league semi final places. The game will throw in at 3.30pm

The Under 16's lost their Championship Final to Maguiresbridge on Saturday. A previously unbeaten Belcoo side simply failed to perform on the day and seen the title go to the opposition on a score line of 3-10 to 0-7.

The Under 12's marched into the Division 2 league final with a 3-10 to 0-7 victory over Kinawley on Saturday morning. They face Derrygonnelly in the league final. The game will be played in Garrison this Saturday at 3pm.

Orders are currently been taken for Replica Senior Jersey's. They are available in all sizes, anyone interested should contact Carol Corrigan on 02866386272
