Nothing between the sides in top of the table clash
May. 7, 2014
Belcoo 3-07 Tempo 2-10
A top of the table clash between Belcoo and Tempo ended all square after sixty minutes with a late Eunan McCann point grabbing a point for the visitors to leave it 3-07 to 2-10.
Belcoo will feel as this was the one that got away as they held a six point lead early in the second half but they were unable to kill the game off.

The home side were first off the mark with their first attack and good build up play Johnny Feeley saw fire over from play.
Midfielder Niall McGovern popped over a second after a surging run before Daryl Keenan pointed from a free to open the Maguire’s account.
Corner back Rory Foy added another before Belcoo were to hit back with their first goal.
Niall McGovern again came bursting down the centre of the Tempo defence and his pass to Paul McGrath left him in one on one with the visiting keeper and he made no mistake with a deft finish to the corner.
Keenan replied with three pointed frees before corner back Ryan Leonard stopped the Tempo ascendancy with a point under pressure.
And the home side were to end the half strongly as Paul McGrath got his second three pointer of the game.

Ciarán Flaherty collected a long, high ball in from Niall Leonard and he turned and fed McGrath who made no mistake to leave it 2-03 to 0-05 at the half time whistle.
The O’Rahilly’s began the second half like the first with Feeley popping over his second of the day but Tempo threw themselves a lifeline when a high ball in to the Belcoo square was fisted to the net by John Owens to leave two in it.
Flaherty replied to extend Belcoo’s lead to three before the home side got their third goal of the day.
Hard work by McGovern saw the ball come to Flaherty who bore down on goal before slipping the ball to Feeley and he rifled into the top corner to put six in it.
However Tempo would not give up and they popped over a point before a ball played into the square eluded everybody and rolled into the net for their second goal.
As the half entered the closing stages Feeley knocked over a free after Paul McGrath was fouled while Damian Kelly pointed for the visitors.
McGovern knocked over another point after another strong run to finish Belcoo’s scoring for the day.
Keenan brought it back to the minimum from a free but it looked like the home side would hold out before a high ball broke to Eunan McCann and the half back made no mistake to grab a point for Tempo and wrap up proceedings for the day.
It was disappointing for the home side not to come away with two points but they do remain unbeaten at home and second in the table.
