JUNIOR DIVISION 2 LEAGUE FINAL REPLAY: Belcoo 3-16 v 3-7 Aughadrumsee
Belcoo would get the better of Aughadrumsee in their Erne Cup Division 2 League Final Replay after a scintillating first half which seen the O’Rahilly’s outscore their opponents 2-10 to 1-1. With the foundations built, Belcoo went on to secure the trophy on a 3-16 to 3-7 scoreline.

On a day where everything clicked into place for the O’Rahilly’s their was some eye catching displays from Aaron Dolan (1-8), Gary Maguire (0-5) and Seamus Conlon in the middle of the park. Dolan hit 1-2 within the first five minutes to set Belcoo on their way, Aughadrumsee’s Stephen Flynn however registered 1-1 for his side in the early stages but it was to be a half that Belcoo completely dominated.
Damian Holleran was to register a point on 8minutes while Gary Maguire added a free before kicking a fine point from the right wing. The O’Rahilly’s were then awarded a penalty, Holleran felled inside the area, Philip Leonard confidently firing into the net to move Belcoo 2-5 to 1-1.

The O’Rahilly’s were winning kickout after kickout with Declan Leonard and Seamus Conlon controlling matters, Aidan McGrath was on hand to snap up a number of break balls and with the side in control and quickly transferring possession to the forward line the scores continued to flow.
Philip Leonard doing well on the left side of the field before splitting the posts, Gary Maguire fired over two excellent right wing points to finish of two swift moves upfield while Aaron Dolan finished the half with two more points from play, one on either foot as Belcoo went in 12points to the good at the interval.
A surging run from Declan Leonard at the beginning of the second half seen Aaron Dolan tap over another before Ian Corrigan hit a third Belcoo goal. Kieran Conlon had been fouled, Philip Leonard’s quickly taken free released Corrigan who fired into the net.

Aughadrumsee had their best spell of the game over the next 10minutes, registering 1-4 to pull themselves back to within ten points, 3-11 to 2-5. The comeback however was never on, Belcoo had too much in hand and would see Gary Maguire point a free on the left while Aaron Dolan added two points from close range.
Aughadrumsee sporadic attacks seen them add to their tally and register a third goal of their own but it was Barry McGovern and Aaron Dolan of Belcoo who had the final say with late points sealing a 3-16 to 3-7 victory.
