Club Notes

Oct. 26, 2015

It was a bad weekend on the field with both Seniors and U16s suffering defeats on Sunday. The Seniors went down 1-8 to 0-5 in Garrison despite playing some 55minutes with an extra man. The league as now split with the Seniors in the bottom half, they will have four more games to play as they look to avoid relegation in the coming weeks.

On Sunday the Seniors host Tempo at 2pm.

The U16’s lost to Irvinestown and they will now meet Irvinestown again in a playoff, this Saturday at 3pm in Maguiresbridge. The winner will meet Tempo in the Division 3 League Final.

U13/U14/U15/U16 Girls County Development Training continues at the Lakeland Forum on Saturday's from 12pm to 1.30pm. Girls born in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004 all eligible to attend.

The floodlit area around Shannon Gaels GAA pitch is back in use on Tuesday’s and Thursday's from 7pm to 8pm, cost €1. It is a great way for all our members, playing and non-playing, of all ages to keep active over the winter months whether its running, walking or jogging you fancy.

No winner of the Club Lotto Jackpot on Monday 19th October. Letters drawn I, J, L, O, V. Lucky Dip £15's went to Danny McGovern, Winnie Nolan, Ger Shiels and Shirley Gorman. Jackpot capped at £9,950.

There was a great turnout at the Tara Feeley Fundraiser last Friday in Mullaghdun, we thank all those who helped organise and run the event. We continue to keep Tara in our thoughts and prayers as she continues her recovery.
