Competitions & Draws

Last Man Standing Entries must be in by Friday night. The National League begins this Saturday, £10 entry, £500 for the winner.  

Tickets are now on Sale from all committee members for the GAA National Club Draw. Some great prizes are up for grabs from Croke Park including an Opel Corsa and various corporate packages to All Ireland Finals. These need to be returned by Monday 1st February.

Youth Football

Under 14 training continues on Monday 1st February at the Football Pitch from 7pm to 8.15pm. Can any outstanding Youth Registrations Forms be returned.

Minor Training continues tonight, Thursday 28th January in Blacklion from 7pm to 8pm before the first field session gets underway tomorrow, Friday 29th January at the Pitch.

General Information

The floodlit area around Shannon Gaels GAA pitch is back in use on Tuesday’s and Thursday's from 7pm to 8pm, cost €1. It is a great way for all our members, playing and non-playing, of all ages to keep active over the winter months whether it's running, walking or jogging you fancy in a safe environment.

There is also a Cross Country Run from 2pm to 3pm on Sunday’s in the Cottage Meadow for all ages. Full Warm Up, Stretches and Cool Down included. U12s must be accompanied by an adult. No charge, old boots or shoes required.

Fancy Becoming A Referee?

Anyone within the Club looking to become a GAA referee, there is a course coming up in February, please contact Harry Traynor at harryptraynor@hotmail.com if interested.

Club Lotto

There was no winner of the Club Lotto Jackpot which was deferred to Wednesday 27th January. Letters drawn were A, G, I, S, U. The lucky dip £15's went to Ryan Doherty (Stevie’s Son), Dylan Melanophy, Betty Harte and Ken Ferguson. Jackpot capped at £9,950, next draw Monday 1st February.

Anthony Mulvey RIP

The club extends its deepest sympathy to the Mulvey family on the tragic and untimely passing of young Anthony. We ask all our members to keep his parents Ann & Anthony and two brothers Patrick & Matthew in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
