Erne Cup Division 2: Belcoo 2-13 v 2-10 Ederney
Belcoo Juniors beat Ederney this evening despite 26minutes scoreless minutes in the second half which seen them go from seven up to one down before Seimi Rafferty netted the winning goal in stoppage time to give the O'Rahilly's a 2-13 to 2-10 win.
It was plain sailing in the opening half as Belcoo cut through the visitors defence time after time whilst registering scores at regular intervals, During this dominant first period the home team had 1-10 on the scoreboard by the break.

Gary Maguire had hit 4 early points, two from deadballs with Niall Cullen finished two good moves with well taken efforts. It was a night where we had three players return to the fold after long absences, along with match winner Rafferty, Daniel Ray and Emmet Scollan also made their first appearance of the season for the side.
It was Scollan who fired over the next score after a long solo run while Aidan Leonard knocked over an eight point for the hosts.
Ederney had missed and dropped short several efforts at the other end though they did have three points to their name, Belcoo were on top in all sectors and squandered goal chances, Daniel Ray unable to get a shot away when well placed while Daire Keaney went close also.
Dean McDermott was heavily involved for the O'Rahilly's and he would volley a well hit effort to the net coming to half time before following it up with a fine point.

Seimi Rafferty was next to find the target after good work from Gerard Mellor in midfield but a goal with the last kick of the half by Ederney left to 1-10 to 1-3.
A lacklustre start to the second half by Belcoo seen Ederney hit a quick 1-1 to cut the deficit to three. Points from Aidan Leonard and substitute Philip Leonard seen Belcoo settle but the hosts never hit the heights of the first half.
Ederney were constantly finding willing runners in acres of space and began to chip away at the five point deficit. The visitors were making hard work of it though, several guilt edged chances were missed before they did indeed edge in front with a minute to play having hit a half dozen unanswered scores.
In the poor spell for Belcoo, Gerard Mellor, Emmet Scollan and Dean McDermott kept plugging away. The game though, looked to have got away from the O'Rahilly's but as the tie edged into added time a good move involving Philip Leonard and Gary Maguire ended with Rafferty gathering possession inside the 14metre line and drilling into the net.
