Jul. 2, 2016
ERNE CUP DIVISION 2: Belcoo 2-5 v 3-11 Enniskillen Gaels
Enniskillen Gaels would hit an unanswered 3-3 over the closing ten minutes to record a 3-11 to 2-5 victory over Belcoo at a windswept MacNean Park this evening.
The visitors held the upperhand for the most part but having failed to take their chances a flurry of scores from Belcoo early in the second period gave them a surprise lead with ten minutes to play. Belcoo though would be reduced to 14 as Daire Keaney seen red and the Gaels stepped it up a gear to win handsomely.

The visitors hit the first five scores of the game before Belcoo, who'd struggled going forward, did manage a point from Jonathan Feeley. Coming to half time Ian Corrigan conjured a goal out of nothing to leave it 0-6 to 1-1 at half time, Belcoo had lost full back Shane McAloon to a collar bone injury having begun the contest well.
Belcoo's best spell came in the first 10minutes of the second half. Philip Leonard was getting through a lot of work for the home side in the middle sector with Aidan Leonard while Daire Keaney was showing well on the left wing with Niall Cullen marshalling the defence.
Enniskillen had a black card to Niall Keenan for a late tackle on Shain Gallagher with Feeley tapping over the free. Ian Corrigan showed a good pair of hands from a Kieran Conlon kickout before Aidan Leonard found Shain Gallagher to point with Feeley also adding from play.
