U13 Girls Lose To Kinawley

Box Score

Aug. 16, 2016

The Under 13 Girls went down to a strong Kinawley side on Monday evening. The visitors held the upperhand throughout playing some excellent football. High catching, good fist passes, kick passes, first touch control, movement, support play and score-taking by the Kinawley side was off a high standard during the entire contest.

Kinawley have been the top Girls team in the County for the last number of years, this is the level our young Girls side must aspire to reach in the coming years. It was a good test and an eye opener for some however their were some fine performances for the O'Rahilly's.

Cara Gray took up the goalkeepers position for the first time and excelled with some good saves and excellent kickout. Rhianne McGuinness had a magnificent game in the full back line making several blocks, whilst winning possession in front of her opponent. Aoife Keaney worked hard at centre back with Rachel Nolan showing well further upfield.

Unfortunately due to the time of the year, a number of families are on holiday's next week and as a result of lack of players, the U13 Girls are unable to field against Ederney.

Next game will be Monday 29th away to Knockninny in Derrylin. Throw in 7pm, bus will leave at 5.50pm.
