Club Notes

YOUTH

Our Under 12’s began their Division 1 league campaign on Saturday with a 6-14 to 5-10 defeat at home to Kinawley in what was a good game of football. Training continues tonight & Wednesday from 7pm to 8.15pm. Next league game is scheduled for this Saturday at 11am in Derrygonnelly.

The Under 13 Girls returned to action last week with an excellent 5-10 to 0-2 victory away in Ederney. They have a busy week with games on Wednesday and Thursday night. On Wednesday they  travel to Knockninny Gaels for a 7pm throw in. Bus leaving at 5.50pm. While on Thursday they complete their sectional programme with a home game against Erne Gaels at 7pm, players to be at the pitch for 6.30pm. Divisional playoffs and Finals are likely to be this coming Saturday also, see weebly later in the week.

The Under 16 Boys suffered two defeats during the last week, they were knocked out of the Championship by Maguiresbridge on a score of 7-13 to 8-6 while they were beaten in a league game in Tempo, 3-19 to 3-9.  There are just two league fixtures remaining to complete the season. Up next is a home game with Maguiresbridge on Thursday 15th September.

ADULT

The Seniors return to action in an Intermediate Championship Relegation contest with Enniskillen Gaels, this Saturday 10th September at 4.45pm in Derrygonnelly.

The Juniors drew 2-13 each with Kinawley in their Championship game last Saturday. The replay is scheduled for tomorrow evening, details to be confirmed.

LOTTO

There was no Jackpot winner on Monday 29th August. Letters drawn were D, G, Q, R, Y. Lucky dips went to Arlene Furey, Gerry Nolan (England), Clodagh McMorrow, Pauline Melanophy. The two monthly £50’s went to Gerry McAloon and Monica Donnelly. Next draw is for £5,100 Jackpot.

MERCHANDISE

Club Merchandise can be found on the clubs facebook page. An O’Neill’s Xmas Order will be placed before the deadline of October 7th. Please contact Cecelia Feeley on 0783771870 to make an order.

OTHER

The club extends its sympathy to Hugh McCabe and family on the death of his sister Caroline McIntyre last week. May she rest in peace.

Any Club Members wishing to have their name put into the draw for All Ireland Football Tickets, please contact a committee member before next Monday, 11th September. Draw to be made at weekly lotto.
