Josh Killilea was to level matters before Colum Higgins burst forward to score a goal as a looping effort dipped under the crossbar.
Sam Martin had a brilliant second half, some strong, robust tackles turning over the ball regularly while she moved forward and using it well. A strong run from Martin seen Michael Burns clip over a point with hardworking Killilea landing another moments later.
