Ulster Schools Cup Finals For Some Of Our Youth Players

Dec. 14, 2016

Over the coming day's St. Joseph's College will line out in two Ulster Schools Finals with four representatives from the club involved.

This Friday, 16th December, the Under 14's, following a quarter final win over St. Joseph's Newry and a narrow Semi Final victory over Cross & Passion, Ballycastle. Will meet fellow Fermanagh School. St. Aidan's Derrylin in the Ennis Cup Final.

The Final will take place in Brewster Park at 11am. We have two youth players in action, Lawrence McKeown is captain of the side while Jamie Ray is the substitute goalkeeper. We wish the two lads well.

On Monday 19th December the St. Joseph's Under 16's play Lumen Christi of Derry in the Corn Cúchulainn Final. Victories over St. Joseph's Newry and Colaiste Oiriall of Monaghan paved the way to this showpiece final. They go into it a big underdogs but with some more O'Rahilly's amongst the squad, who knows.

Shane Doherty has featured well throughout with Mark Ferguson among the subs while it is anticipated Lawrence McKeown will be drafted in following his Under 14 excursions. We wish the lads all the very best.
