Club Notes

Saturday morning P1 to P6 training returns from 10.30am to 11.45am.

The Under 10’s played Competitive and Development matches against Derrygonnelly last Friday. Training continues Wednesday from 7pm to 8.30pm for P5 & P6’s. On Friday 2nd June they travel to Derrylin for a 7.30pm throw in. Details on weebly during the week.

Commiserations to our Under 14 Boys team who suffered a defeat in the Division 2 League Final against Teemore following extra time at the weekend. This coming Saturday the two sides meet in the Championship Quarter Final in Derrylin at 4pm. Before that though, Training Wednesday from 7pm to 8.30pm.

Our Under 14 Girls had a great week as they beat Devenish 0-6 to 1-1 on Monday and followed that up with an excellent display against a strong Belanleck side as they as they recorded a 4-4 to 3-5 win. They play Maguiresbridge, tonight, Monday evening at 7pm in Cavancarragh, bus leaving 5.50pm.

 Our U14 Boys & Girls completed their sponsored Climb of Cuilagh Mountain on Monday. Thanks to all who helped organise and took part.


The Reserves winning run was halted by Irvinestown on Friday evening. The visitors recording a 2-12 to 0-15 win. Up next is an away game in Aughadrumsee at 1pm on Sunday.

The Seniors lost in Irvinestown on a 2-13 to 0-10 scoreline. They host Ederney at 7pm on Saturday evening, still seeking a first win of the campaign.


Tickets are on sale for the ‘Empty The Tank’ Draw which will take place on the Centenary weekend. First Prize is a Ride-On Lawn Mower. Tickets £10 and available from all committee members and adult footballers.

There was no winner of the Club Lotto Jackpot on Monday 22nd May.  Letters drawn were D, F, K, N, R. Lucky Dips went to Clodagh McMorrow, Chris Burns, Eddie McGinley and Eamon & Brig Corrigan. Next weeks Jackpot is for £7,000.


The club extends its deepest sympathy to the family of Hugh McCabe who passed away earlier this morning. Hugh was heavily involved throughout his lifetime with the club both on and off the field. He was a great character who will be sorely missed by all.

His remains are reposing at his late residence from 6pm today (Monday) until 11pm tonight and from 11am Tuesday to 11pm. Remains leaving his residence at 10.30am on Wednesday to arrive at St. Joseph's Church, Mullaghdun for Funeral Mass. House strictly private on Wednesday morning please. May he rest in peace.

The club also extends it's deepest sympathy to Tim Flaherty and his extended family on the death of his sister Marie. Her Funeral Mass will take place on Friday at 12noon in Kilronan Church, Inis Mór before burial in Kileany Cemetery. May she rest in peace.
