An equalizing score shortly after the restart was as good as it got for Aughdrumsee in the second half. Belcoo became dominate around the middle third with Mark Corrigan impressing while Eoin Gallagher was on hand to collect a number of break balls and set up attacks for his side.
Belcoo’s first score of the second half was to be a goal. A strong run down the right wing from Aaron Dolan ended with a cross-field pass which was collected by Philip Leonard 14yards from goal, the forward turned and fired an unstoppable shot into the top left hand corner for his second goal of the game.
Leonard was proving a great target man and he was to register the next point before Aaron Dolan hit two long range points as Belcoo now took a commanding 3-6 to 1-6 lead after 44minutes.
In the final quarter Belcoo continued to stream forward and create numerous scoring opportunities. Leonard clipped over 4 more points while Dean McDermott and Aaron Dolan also got on the scoresheet.
