The first competitive club football of the season took place over the weekend with our Minors beginning their season with a 3-12 to 1-6 victory away in Aughadrumsee. A workman like second half seen Belcoo hold their opponents to just one point. Daniel Ray and Philip Leonard both got goals in the opening half while Philip hit another goal early in the second half. Aaron Dolan and Dean McDermott were among the points. A full match report can be found on our website freeteams.net/belcoo. Minor Training continues pn Wednesday at 8pm. The next Minor game is at home to Kinawley this Sunday at 12noon.
The Under 14 League gets underway this Saturday. Belcoo Travel to Aughadrumsee for a 4pm throw in.
Best wishes to our trio of Patrick Sweeney, Daniel Ray and Seamus Rafferty this Saturday as the St. Michael's MacRory side look to book their place in the St. Patrick's Day final with a Semi Final game against St. Pat's Armagh in Errigal Ciaran. Throw in is at 2.30pm.
The Mount Lourdes U16's Gaelic team was named School Team of the Year at the recent Fermanagh Herald Sports Awards. Congratulations to our players Rion Gallagher and Tara Gallagher. Club Member Brendan Dolan picked up the award for Excellence in an International Field for his Darting exploits in the past 12months. Well done Brendan.
