U10's Remain Unbeaten

Belnaleck 0-7 v 0-12 Belcoo
Having secured an opening game victory over Devenish last week Belcoo came through another tight encounter with a 0-12 to 0-7 success in Belnaleck on Friday evening. Belnaleck got the first score of the match but Belcoo responded with some neat scores to take the lead on 6minutes. Belcoo remained in-front for the remainder of the encounter but Belnaleck were still in the tie right to the end.
At the interval Belcoo held a 0-5 to 0-3 lead and in an impressive second period Belcoo outscored their opposition 7points to 4. It took another solid team display from the young O'Rahillys to secure victory while Belnaleck's Dara McBrien ended the game as man of the match although Daire Flanagan had an excellent second half marking McBrien.
Belcoo's Cillian Murray ended the match as the winners leading scorer with a tally of four points. The other scorers included Oran McCann, Laurence McKeown and Fiachra McAloon. In defence there were also a number of strong displays from Matthew Mulvey, Oisin McGrath, Daire Flanagan and Emmett McGuinness. At midfield, the pairing of McKeown and McCann was very effective while up-front the forwards kicked some quality scores.
The Belcoo A team were as follows - Matthew Mulvey, Emmett McGuiness, Oisin McGrath, Oisin O'Loughlin, Daire Flanagan, Oran McCann, Laurence McKeown, Josh Kililea, Cillian Murray, Fiachra McAloon, Arlene Furey and Cian White.
The B team were defeated by Belnaleck's B team but nevertheless performaned well. The B team included Jack Greene, Ben McNulty, Jamie Ray, Conor McManus, Niamh McAloon, Ciana McGrath, Eimear Magee, Patrice Murray, Aoife Keaney, Dara Cox, Chloe McCarthy, Conor McKeown, Michaela Maguire, Aine Barrett, Sean Boylan, Oisin McNulty, Gerry Nolan, and Michael Burns.
The Belcoo players arrived home happy. A big thank you to all the mentors. Belcoo have their final home match in the league on Friday evening as they host Erne Gaels. Throw in is at 7.30pm, players are asked to be at the pitch for 6.50pm
