We will be playing before you know it.

Jan. 30, 2017

January is almost gone, and we feel pretty good about where we are at with our practices thus far. Many thanks to the boys for coming out during winter months and making hay while the weather was agreeable. You never know what you will get in these baseball games;  some days we will get beat by a team who doesn't get a real hit, and other days we will beat a team that is better than us through some sort of unexplainable magic. Hard work, dedication and grinding are all part of real baseball, though. That last sentence is lost on many baseball "players" , "teams" and "coaches" for sure. No matter if we aren't the best team every time we play a game, those essential parts that go into a baseball season are not lost on our group.

We have had good outings in spots in the field, on the mound, at the plate, in the bullpen, in the cage and on the basepaths. Some of our practices are a little slower than usual, but we have to get that important time on the mound to face batters, as well as hitters seeing kids throwing to them. Hopefully we can put on a good showing when we hit the field soon.

Thanks very much to all the sponsors and the parents and grandparents that stepped up and worked hard to get donor money coming in. It makes going through this upcoming grind much easier, and allows the boys to focus on playing good baseball and not doing too many car washes or can shakes. Please remember to check with Stacy on any outstanding money due for hats, pullovers, clings, etc. I know everyone has gone to try on their uniforms - thanks for getting that done. We are nearing time for Bandits baseball !!!! Get ready.
