Sponsor update

Mar. 27, 2017

We ended our Saturday at the ballpark with a festive meal at one of our sponsors:  Georgio's Restaurant.

Many of us are familiar with the great food and service there, but Saturday night was just another reminder of how great the community we live in is. The staff at Georgio's was super accomodating and allowed us to come in late and eat delicious food at great prices, catering to our every need the whole way through. We had about 45 people total go eat, and I was amazed at how they made it happen, and didn't skip a beat. Big Thanks to the Wursters and Georgio's in Cramerton for a great night after a long day. The whole group left full and happy. What a great start to our weekend of playing.

In addition to that, we did our second year in a row fundraiser with Johnny B's. We have enjoyed a fruitful partnership the last couple years, and continue to drive businss into that restaurant through the gift cards in addition to all the time and meals we enjoy there. Thanks again to Johnny B's for teaming up with us to help the community while satisfying hunger all at the same time. Win-Wins are always good.

Lastly, we had Bill Bostick from Tarheel Sports Photography out taking pictures this weekend. Action Shot Bill is like a old wild west gunslinger with his camera. You never know what corner he is going to pop out from behind, and he always beats you to the draw. In my opinion, candid photos are always best and he has done an indescribable job for us this year. I encourage our parents and supporters to inquire about more photo opportunities he has, because he has taken our little peanut band to a new level of access by showing those up-close pictures that your memory loves to see today, but hard to recall in such detail as the years go by. Worry no more - just get some of Bill's pictures and the memory will now last a lifetime and beyond. We spend a lot of time, money, effort and thought into this travel baseball and it sure is rewarding to see something as simple as a photograph capture the joy, excitement, drama and candidness that every pitch, swing and dive provides to us all.
