Creeks Boys Lacrosse (CBL) will abide by a strict Code of Conduct governing all Coaches, Players, Officials and Parents. The purpose of the Code of Conduct is to ensure that all those associated with lacrosse in CBL treat each other with dignity and respect.

The Code of Conduct is a condition of membership for all Players, Parents, Coaches and Officials. All members of CBL agree to abide by the Code of Conduct and to be subjected to the consequences of violating the Code. It is understood that by enrolling into any CBL program that players, parents and coaches are all bound by this Code of Conduct and its validity is hereby dependent upon signature below.

All enforcement decisions made by the officials of CBL, Board of Directors, and the Creeks Athletics Association are final and are not subject to review. No refunds will be granted to those members dismissed from the club for violating the Code of Conduct.

(thanks to Fauquier Youth Lacrosse League for the basis of this wording)

Code of Conduct – Parents & Players (download HERE)

As a parent/guardian or player in the Creeks Boys Lacrosse, I will abide by the code of conduct outlined in this agreement.

As a parent/guardian or coach, I will always offer words of encouragement and cheer for my child’s team in a positive manner. I will refrain from making negative comments to any player, coach, parent or official. I will never yell at or berate the referees. I will refrain from the use of alcohol, tobacco and drugs while attending practices, games or other CBL‐sponsored events.

As a player, I will always do my best. I will respect my teammates, my coach and the referees. I will never use foul language or show poor sportsmanship. I deserve to play in an alcohol‐, tobacco‐ and drug‐free environment and expect adults to respect that wish.

Parents, Coaches and Players will remember that sports are an opportunity to learn and have fun. CBL requests that everyone allow the players to play, the coaches to coach, officials to officiate and the spectators to cheer.

Grievances or misunderstandings between coaches, officials or any other parties involved with the sport should be communicated through the proper channels and procedures, never on or about the field of play in view of spectators or participants.

NOTE: VIOLATIONS OF THIS POLICY WILL BE ENFORCED JOINTLY BY THE PRESIDENT AND VICE-PRESIDENT OF CREEKS BOYS LACROSSE, BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AND THE CREEKS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION, WITH DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS TO BE USED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE BOARD.  ANY DECISION BY THE BOARD WILL BE FINAL. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GRANTED TO THOSE MEMBERS DISMISSED FROM THE LEAGUE FOR VIOLATING THE CODE OF CONDUCT.

I have read and understand the above rules.
