Danville played at home against Central Columbia in very warm conditions. The first 20 minutes saw the game go back and forth with most of the game played in the middle of the field, neither team created any real great chances to score. Central did earn two corners in this time frame. The second part of the first half saw the Ironmen begin to take control of the game and get the upper hand in possession and also had several dangerous chances thwarted. In the second half Danville continued to show their control of the ball. The Ironmen defense only allowed one shot on goal in the second forty minutes. The goal came in the 58th minute. Jacob Foster turned from his defender in the midfield and was able to play a ball over the Central defense. Andrei Bucaloiu got to the ball before the Central keeper and with a toe poke hit the ball out of the air over the keepers hands. For the rest of the game Danville continued to push forward for the second goal but couldn't find the final touch needed to do so. The Ironmen defense and midfield held strong and made for a controlled win in the second half. Danville improves to 8-1 on the season with six straight wins and shutouts.
