The high school wrestling season usually runs from the first week in November to the third week in February. There are practices over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday breaks, and there are several out-of-state tournaments in December.
After the high school "folkstyle" wrestling season ends, the year round wrestlers start weight training and begin Freestyle/Greco wrestling in March-June. During the summer, there is additional weight training and usually an out-of-state wrestling Team Camp in June or July.
The wrestlers also participate in a number of fund raising activity during the season and off-season.
If you are interested in wrestling for Harrison High School, please contact the head wrestling coach listed under the “Officer & Coaches” tab . The head coach will hand out a registration packet in October. A mandatory hydration test will need to be complete by all wrestlers before they can wrestle and this is usually done at one of the local high schools at the begining of the season. All Cobb County high school athletes need a physical before they can compete and this form is in the registraion packet, or you can print the most current form from -http://www.cobbk12.org/centraloffice/athletics/ .
