Varsity Notes:

Jackson fell to long time rival Hoover 10-8 on Saturday night.

Offensively, the Bears responded well in the first half and made a late run in the fourth quarter, but ran out of time for the comeback.  The scoreless third quarter proved too much to overcome.  John Thomas came to play and scored the first four goals for Jackson and added two assists.  Cole Remlinger and Dominic Faiella each had one goal and one assist.  Trent Thomas and Sam Shew rounded out the scoring with one goal each.  Chance Clevenger was stellar again at the faceoff X going 15/22.

Definsively, Jackson used many different looks to slow down the Hoover offense.  Chase Altier had a strong game and held Hoover's leading scorer goalless on the night.  Adam Kelly came up with some big saves throughout the game to keep it within reach.

The Polar Bears start the playoffs this Wednesday against visiting Boardman.

JV Notes:

The Junior Varsity team also fell to Hoover by a score of 11-8.  They wrapped up their season with a final record of 7-9.  The JV team battled many injuries and difficult situations throughout the year, but overall showed a ton of growth.  The future is bright for Jackson Lacrosse!
