MILL HALL - Winning against a solid team after a long bus ride isn't an easy thing to do in the Mountain League, but the Indian Valley girls basketball team accomplished just that on Thursday evening.

A three-point win in the third quarter was the difference in an important 37-34 road triumph.

"The game was what we expected - (Central Mountain) played very good defense, but I thought we played a little bit better defense though," Indian Valley coach Roger Herto said. "(Whitney) Corbin and (Sammie) Chesnut were our one-two punch tonight."

There was also an X-factor in the form of a Warrior senior.

"Priscilla Weaver, one of our two seniors, had her best game tonight," Herto said. "She ended up being the key player in the zone that we played and she was responsible for keeping a lot of Central Mountain points off the board. It was a big win for us - I'm really proud of the kids."

Corbin led the way win 20 points while Chesnut added 11 in the victory.

The Warriors (6-4, 4-2) are back in action on Saturday when they host Philipsburg-Osceola.
