Club Notes

Sep. 26, 2016

Our 3rd team were the only ones who managed to escape the torrential rain on Saturday morning & their game went ahead away to Glebe. It was an excellent all round team performance from start to finish in really tricky conditions.

We were 1-0 up at half time with a goal by Harry McGowan and should of been 3 or 4 up! 2nd half was more or less the same as 1st half but the finishing was a lot more clinical with Robbie Little getting the 2nd,Stuart Cochrane the 3rd with a bullet header from a corner.

Matty Woods finishing off a lovely move all the way from left back and Jordan woods added the 5th near the end of the game to round of the victory and secure our first 3 points of the season.

Our U11 team were in action in the BKYL cup final and they took on Mountjoy under lights in Ballinamallard. In a close first half James Taylor scored on the stroke of half time with a smart finish in to the roof of the net. Joel Byrne doubled our lead in the second half with a superb individual goal and Joshua Johnston made the game safe with a third after more good work from MOTM Joel Byrne. All the lads played their heart out and have done our club proud.

Hopefully the first of many medals these guys will win!! Many congratulations to all involved with this team, to the coaches Kyle, Ian and Tommy and special mention to the large group of mum's, sisters, granny's, aunties etc who never miss a mini law game!

Our U19s game was abandoned due to the weather on Saturday morning & our U16s suffered a defeat in the MUYL.

This weeks senior fixtures - 3rds v Lisnarick (h), Reserves v Killen (a) and our first team are at home to Killen. This will be followed by our first "Burger Saturday" of the season!

Lotto results - numbers drawn were 02, 04, 17 and 23 with the £15 going to Heather Harkin, Adam Thompson and Doreen Mullen. Next Week’s Jackpot £7650.

Don't forget to check out our Facebook page for the latest fallers in our LMS competition - 113 are left going in to week 3.

Finally, remember our clothes collection for our youth, any old clothing etc can be left out at the clubhouse, your support is appreciated.
