2015 AAAAAA Boys All-State Selections Named
The 2015 Georgia High School Boys All-State Teams were selected by the Georgia High School Boys Coaches Council. The High School Coaches' Council also selects All-Americans and Academic All-Americans on behalf of US Lacrosse.
Congratulations to Mill Creek's Ian Miller, Attack, Zach Roper, Midfield, Brandon Savoie, Speciality Player all named to the 2nd Team All-State and Kyle Beverly named as Honorable Mention All-State Defense!
Congratulations to Kyle Beverly who received Gwinnett's "Most Positive" Student-Athlete Award!!
In addition to excellence on the field, each nominated Positive Athlete was required to show characteristics such as an optimistic attitude, teammate encouragement, servant leadership, heart for others, ability to admit imperfections, giving 100 percent all the time, and realizing the team as more important than the individual. The Hawk Award is presented by the Coaches of Mill Creek Lacrosse to the player who best exhibits the US Lacrosse Code of Conduct, both on and off the field, through attributes such as:
Demonstrating positive behavior and respect toward teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, parents and spectators
Valuing good sportsmanship, the concepts of fair play, and the skills of the game even above wining
Respecting and valuing the opinions, views and roles of others who work to further the mission of the organization
Promoting teamwork through the philosophy that greater success can be achieved when individuals sacrifice their desire for personal accomplishment in favor of the benefits of their team
Honors the game through honesty and integrity
The Leadership Award is voted on by the players of Mill Creek Lacrosse and given to the player who consistently exhibited a positive energy that inspired and motivated them all season. This player lead by example, reflecting an unwavering commitment to the team and being fair and respectful of all other players motivating them to drive to the common team goals.
