Website - New pages and updates

Oct. 3, 2012

I would like to encourage all those current or ex-players not currently registered with the website to do so as more content is available to those that are logged in and affiliated with the club. Please keep your username simple, first letter of first name and surname e.g. asmith so we know who you are when approving access. You won’t receive any spam but only the occasional email to inform you of any new news items or forum postings and even this can be turned off by going to your notification settings page.

A new Misfits honours board can be found in the main menu links on the left hand side. This has been compiled by going through the scorebooks for the past thirty three years and has lead to creating the three bowling honours boards and a batting honours board. The bowling honours boards are for five wicket hauls, bowling hat tricks and golden balls (a wicket taken with the first ball delivered by that bowler in the match). The batting honours board is a combined one for 50s and 100s.

The golden duck club has also been updated and can be found via the club/player statistics page, although you will need to be logged in to view them.

There are a couple of new photo galleries to view. One has a selection of fixture lists, from the first one in 1979 up to 2009 and also includes the scorebook pages from the first match played by the then ‘Misbourne Misfits’ against Newlands park XI.

The second includes a couple of photos, taken from distance, of Highmore Field, one looks like it is from the top of the church. There are also a couple of news article collection pages taken from the local newspapers in 1980. If anyone can shed any light on the dates of the photos or fill in the blank names please add a comment at the bottom of the photo (log in required).
