Giants End Game in a Tie Against Braves

Box Score

Mar. 20, 2011

The Giants played at home on yesterday, March 19 against ´╗┐the Braves.  The game ended in a tie, with a score of 7-7.  The Giants got off to an early lead but was not able to stop the Braves from taking over the lead at top of the 3rd inning.  Late in the 5th inning, the Giants fought their way back to tie the game, but was not able to pull off an additional run to bring home the win.

The coaches were proud of the way the team fought back at the end to close out the game in a tie, but also stressed that the team must focus on listening to the coaches.  With only two catchers on the roster on yesterday, Coach Todd also spoke of the good job that John Tillman did as the catcher for 3 innings.

Congratulations to Ryan Roberson, who was the game ball recepient in yesterday's game.  Ryan had a great hit that drove in an RBI.  Ryan's hit was off of the kid's pitch and created alot of excitement in the stands and the dugout. Way to Go, Ryan!

The Giants were short by one player, as Kian Lindsey was out sick.   We all hope that Kian gets well soon, and hope to see him back at practice this week.

The Giants have two upcoming games this week. They will take on the Diamondbacks on Friday night, and will play the Cubs on Saturday.  Good Luck Giants!
