Eight-Time New England AAU and Zero Gravity Basketball MA State Champions

Jun 15, 2018 - Shockers Varsity Boys Team Rolls to Victory in its Final Tournament

Kudos to Coach Fish and his Shockers varsity team for completing their AAU basketball journey with a strong win in Springfield, MA last weekend.  The team steamrolled the competition and finished 4 - 0 on their way to a championship at the Mass Fusion AJ Midura Classic Tourney.  These young men have become a real band of brothers, growing up together over the past seven years and demonstrating MTTE the entire time.  To the seniors moving on to their college endeavors, we wish you the very best.  You have made us very proud.

May 7, 2018 - Shockers 9th Grade Girls Team Wins the Zero Gravity MA State Championship Tournament

Congratulations to the newly crowned Zero Gravity MA State Champions in the girls 9th grade division.  These Shockers displayed a withering defense and unselfish play on their way to the championship at Mass Premier Courts in Foxborough last weekend.  Opponents included the defending state champion Meerkats, NS Blizzard, Ocean State Panthers (White), and the Cape Cod Waves.  This win was a tribute to a commitment to improvement and extreme teamwork.  The championship team was composed of three 9th graders, three 8th graders, and three 7th graders. Outstanding work, ladies.  We're very proud of you and look forward continued success down the road.

Apr 23, 2018 - Shockers Boys Receive Telegram & Gazette Post-Season Recognition

Three members of the Shockers boys varsity team were recognized last weekend by the Worcester Telegram and Gazette as Central Mass All-Stars.  Congratulations to Kyle Sawtelle (senior guard, Grafton HS) and Victor Florentino (senior forward, Worcester Technical HS) for their first team recognition.  Brendon Hamilton (junior center, Worcester Technical HS) also received second team recognition.  This is a tremendous achievement for three young men who have worked tirelessly to develop their talents and to lead their respective high schools teams into post-season competition.

Sawtelle, a four-year member of the Grafton HS varsity team, was also a two-year team captain and a three-year Southern Worcester County League all-star.  He averaged 18.4 PPG this past year.  Florentino, a four-year member of the Worcester Technical HS varsity team, was also a two-year team captain and multi-year Colonial Athletic League all-star.  His teams reached the state vocational tournament title games three years in a row and this year they played in the Central Mass Division 4 tournament title game.

All three players are long-time Shockers standouts who have worked with their teammates to develop similar successes on the AAU circuit.  Their team was the NEAAU 11th grade state champion in 2017.  Congratulations to you all!  Your well deserved recognition has brought acclaim to your schools and in the process you have represented the Shockers program in an exemplary manner.

Apr 2, 2018 - Shockers Excel at the ZG Clash at the Border Tournament

Congratulations to the three Shockers teams that demonstrated MTE throughout the first weekend of the spring season.  Coach Fish and his boys varsity team dominated the competition while finishing with an unblemished record.  Coach Hermans and the 8th grade girls, a new addition to the Shockers family, were similarly successful.  Coach Cano and his 9th grade girls split their games while finishing strong in the finale.  Great job ladies and gentlemen.  We're off to a excellent start!  You've reminded the competition what's in store for them.
