Packers Defeat Cowboys in Classic Rodgers Fashion
Oct. 8, 2017
Aaron Rodgers has provided more joy for us Packers fans in these past years than we could ever ask for. His ability to extend plays, do the seemingly impossible, and so much more was on full display in Dallas today, when Rodgers lead the Packers from a 21-6 deficit, all the way to a 9 play, 75 yard drive in just over 1 minute, and ended up throwing a touchdown pass to Davante Adams to essentially seal "America's Team's" fate as Rodgers has done so well over the past few years. On top of this catch, Adams returned from his week out due to a concussion with a bang, he put up elite numbers hauling in 7 catches for 66 yards and a pair of touchdowns. With Ty Montgomery out with a rib injury, and Jamal Williams not at 100%, much of the rushing load fell on the shoulders of the 3rd string running back, Aaron Jones, a rookie out of the University of Texas El Paso, and he stepped up to the plate. Jones, in his first NFL start, ran for 125 yards on 19 carries, and added a touchdown on top of that. Watch out fans, we may two very legit runningbacks in Green Bay. Our offense is clicking and it doesn't look like anyone can stop Rodgers when he needs to put together a game-winning drive, and as for our defense they stepped up big time in the second half, holding the talented Cowboys offense to 10 points. Next weeks game will be away from home, as the Pack will travel to Minneapolis and take on the Vikings.
