Note: This is not the "official" HHSAA Hawaii State Meet Records list. The "Official" list includes wind aided marks and also
includes hand times that, if properly converted, would not equal the electronic marks listed here.
According to the official results of the 1998 HHSAA Meet "all races up to 200 meters and horizontal jumps were wind aided" and thus no records could be set
!Vera Simms 14.85 should be credited with "breaking" Prestine Foster's 1993 14.8h (15.04 converted)
*June Ann Lusk's 12.25 in the HHSAA Trials at Mililani in 2005 bettered 12.1 (12.34 converted) previously set by Heidi Friese and Karen Morant
@Endia Abrante's 400m mark had been the fourth fastest prep 400m in the nation in 1998 according to Track and Field News.

Note: This is not the "official" HHSAA Hawaii State Meet Records list. The "Official" list includes wind aided marks and also
includes hand times that, if properly converted, would not equal the electronic marks listed here.
According to the official results of the 1998 HHSAA Meet "all races up to 200 meters and horizontal jumps were wind aided" and thus not records
*Texas-transplant and World Champion Decathlete Bryan Clay, who attended Castle High School, was the top seed in four boys events at the 1998 State Meet held at Kaiser High School. He had also been the 1997 Meet Record holder in the 400m. Gusty winds (2.0+mps) at Kaiser High School (recorded officially) invalidate any of his Hawaii State Meet "records," including the following amazing quadruple: 13.90w 110HH/10.52w 100m/21.41w 200m/24' 06.50"w LJ
!Waimea's 400m realy ran 42.78 in 2005, which does not better Punahou's 42.6h (42.74 converted)
