Fenland Clarion Frostbite 10 01/01/2012
Jan. 12, 2012
Yaxley Riders co-founder James Warrener was the one person to have an early night on New Years Eve before heading over to a windy Helpston Heath for the Frostbite 10.
Here is the report from the Peterborough Evening Telegraph.
Nice to see Simon win as Farcet is near enough to Yaxley to claim him as one of our own :)
Pitchford leads the way again in the Clarion time trial
Published on Wednesday 4 January 2012 10:27FENLAND Clarion started 2012 with their traditional 10-mile time trial, using the same circuit as the popular summer Bluebell series on a mild New Year’s morning.
Simon Pitchford led the way in what is becoming his own competition, recording his fourth win in five years. Helped by the reasonable weather he blasted to his fastest yet - 23.56. Joe Clarke was the only likely rival but was almost a minute down for second place, with mum Lindsay being the only lady rider in third.
Results - 1 Simon Pitchford 23.56; 2 Joe Clarke 24.54; 3 Lindsay Clarke 27.59; 4 Malc Jacklin 28.31; 5 James Warrener 29.08; 6 Sam Widdess 30.17; 7 Kevin Jones 30.35; 8 Andy Pitchford 30.40.
