One of the biggest problems I see in Young Miss Softball, is base runners running from base to base.  Unless the ball is at the base or being thrown to the base you are heading towards, the runner should make the turn (round the bag) at full speed and look/listen for the Coaches to either call "Stop" or "Go".  So many times a throw is dropped, missed, or gets through a fielder and the runner has already stopped dead at 2nd or 3rd Base.  The goal of every baserunner should be to score, not make it to the next base!

Remember, you can only over-run 1st Base (and only straight up the base line).  If the ball is at your base or being thrown to your base, you need to stay on the bag or risk being tagged out!
